A MILLIONAIRE and two JEOPARDY! greats:  eventual Smarty Pants champion ED TOUTANT, STEVE CHERNICOFF and BOB HARRIS

This combination includes some of the finest ever to play on TV game shows

Around $2.6 million with this trio:

JEROME VERED, KEVIN OLMSTEAD, JAMES DINAN

Computer genius MIKE BURGER,

who designed most of the graphics and game operations for GSC 5,

takes a rare break

The ever-smooth PAUL PAQUET

delivers another question

to the competitors

Another tough one to ponder for

TOUTANT, CHERNICOFF and HARRIS

PAQUET pulls another poser out

of his packet

SMARTY PANTS

Smarty Pants was created by Paul Paquet, who operates Cornerstone Word Co. in Canada.

The contest is a variation on the college bowl format, eliminating the bonus questions.

At GSC5, as many as eight players competed simultaneously in rapid-fire general knowledge tossup questions.

Former $1.86 million Who Wants to Be a Millionaire winner Ed Toutant captured the title for the third time in four years
